Fire & Security Systems Project Engineer

Marlowe Fire & Security, a dedicated division within the Marlowe Fire and Security Group, is seeking to expand its workforce by hiring a seasoned Project Engineer.

Role Overview

The Project Engineer will be responsible for the technical engineering, installation, and management of both small and large-scale projects within the Marlowe portfolio. This role involves meticulous planning and oversight of projects and commissioning tasks. You will collaborate with key clients to ensure that project timelines are met while upholding profitability, health, safety, and quality standards as per company guidelines.

  • Deliver projects on schedule and within financial constraints.
  • Maintain adherence to project timelines.
  • Process cost documentation for the purchasing department.
  • Plan and manage labor and materials necessary for project execution.
  • Ensure all engineering documentation is assigned to engineers and confirm proper commissioning post-project completion.
  • Provide necessary technical expertise for projects.
  • Participate in site meetings as required.
  • Oversee engineers and subcontractors as assigned, including employee management.
  • Monitor job profitability for assigned projects and report to the project manager.
  • Manage all health and safety aspects on-site.
  • Conduct installation and commissioning of systems and minor works as needed.
  • Uphold Marlowe's quality and health, safety, and environmental standards.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for individuals who possess the essential qualities of a Marlowe Fire & Security team member, including a positive demeanor, exceptional communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. Specifically, we seek candidates who demonstrate:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the fire and security sector.
  • Experience managing engineering projects across single and multiple locations.
  • Technical knowledge of major systems and projects.
  • Proven technical experience complemented by strong interpersonal skills.
  • A willingness to work flexibly to ensure project completion while adhering to Marlowe's health and safety protocols.
  • The ability to thrive under pressure and work effectively in both team and independent settings.
  • A motivated and enthusiastic approach to challenges.
