Fire and Security Systems Project Engineer

Marlowe Fire & Security, a dedicated division within the Marlowe Fire and Security Group, is seeking to expand its workforce by hiring a skilled Project Engineer.

Role Overview

The Project Engineer will be responsible for the technical engineering, installation, and management of various projects within the Marlowe portfolio. This role involves meticulous planning and oversight of projects, ensuring they are completed on schedule and within financial constraints while adhering to health, safety, and quality standards.

  • Deliver projects punctually and within budgetary limits
  • Maintain project timelines
  • Coordinate cost sheets with the purchasing department
  • Organize and manage labor and materials necessary for project execution
  • Ensure proper allocation of engineering documentation to the team and verify that commissioning is completed post-project
  • Provide necessary technical guidance throughout project phases
  • Participate in site meetings as required
  • Oversee engineers and subcontractors as assigned, including managing team performance
  • Monitor profitability of assigned projects and report to the project manager
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on-site
  • Conduct installation and commissioning of systems and minor works as needed
  • Uphold Marlowe's quality and health, safety, and environmental standards

Candidate Profile

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the fire and security sector
  • Experience managing engineering projects across multiple locations
  • Technical proficiency with major systems and projects
  • Demonstrable technical skills complemented by strong interpersonal abilities
  • A willingness to travel as necessary to ensure project completion while adhering to Marlowe's health and safety protocols
  • The ability to thrive under pressure and work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • A motivated and enthusiastic approach to challenging environments
