Role Overview

As a Fire Protection Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for the timely and budget-conscious delivery of fire sprinkler initiatives, ensuring compliance with both client expectations and regulatory standards. This role encompasses various small-scale projects that require swift execution, such as retail spaces, modifications, and interior fit-outs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Lead project initiation and handover discussions with all relevant parties, including Sales, Design, and Quantity Surveying teams.
  • Project Planning: Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules.
  • Client Communication: Maintain ongoing communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Documentation Management: Ensure the upkeep of central project files and records.
  • Cost Management: Participate in internal project Cost To Complete (CTC) meetings and manage material and labor expenses, including identifying and invoicing contract variations and final account settlements.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
  • Regulatory Adherence: Familiarize yourself with and comply with all company and regulatory processes.
  • Quality Planning: Complete and submit project Quality Plans as necessary.
Health & Safety Responsibilities

Conduct and document on-site inspections in line with scheduled frequencies, facilitate toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Essential Qualifications
  • Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Competent in LPCB Testing & Commissioning Module 2.
  • Competent in LPCB Site Inspection Module 1.
  • Familiarity with Prince 2 project management methodologies.
  • Experience managing complex projects with budgets up to £200k.
  • Valid SMSTS & CSCS certifications.
  • Extensive knowledge in producing project documentation such as RAMs, Quality Plans, Project Plans, and Cost Sheets.
  • Proficient in standard MS Office applications.
  • Strong commercial acumen to identify and maximize project cost efficiencies.
