Fire Alarm Service Engineer - London & South East

Morgan Fire Protection is dedicated to providing exceptional maintenance and repair services for fire detection systems and portable extinguishers. Our operational resources are primarily based in London, yet we extend our services nationwide through a responsive delivery model. We are currently seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Service Engineer to support our operations in the London and South East region.

Compensation Package – £30,000 - £40,000 per annum

Responsibilities of the Fire Alarm Service Engineer

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on fire detection systems at various client locations, ensuring compliance with current regulations and standards.

  • Conduct regular testing and inspections, including alarm activations, visual checks, and functional assessments.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records for all work performed.
  • Respond to emergency call-outs and execute necessary repairs.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and foster positive relationships with clients.
  • Report any faults or potential issues to the relevant teams.
  • Stay informed about industry regulations and advancements in products and technology.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.

Candidate Profile

Ideal Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who possess the following attributes:

  • Experience in a Fire Alarm Service Engineer role or a similar position.
  • Proficiency in maintaining and servicing fire detection systems.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (e.g., BS 5839).
  • Strong technical skills coupled with problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow instructions meticulously.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call rota with additional compensation.
