Deputy Head of Financial Planning and Analysis

We are seeking a highly skilled Deputy Head of Financial Planning and Analysis to join our finance team at Venn Group. The successful candidate will provide exceptional support to the Head of FP&A and ensure the delivery of timely and accurate financial planning and reporting processes across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leading and managing the Management Accounting and Analysis team to provide a consistent and high-quality financial planning and analysis service.
  2. Ensuring the delivery of timely, insightful, and accurate financial reporting.
  3. Driving an agenda of continual improvement and innovation, keeping pace with developments in best practice.
  4. Responsible for grant management and reporting activities, acting as Finance Lead for all grant streams.
  5. Ensuring clear and consistent processes and procedures are in place for different grant streams and providing support to the programme and grant directors.
  6. Collaborating with the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis, Finance Director, Deputy FDs, Head of Financial Accounting & Operations, as well as key internal and external stakeholders.
  7. Reporting to the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis, deputising as required, and providing support and cover for one another as needed.

Person Specification:

  1. CCAB/ACA/ACCA or equivalent professional accounting body qualification with significant PQE in a similar role.
  2. Experience of financial planning and analysis covering all aspects of budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
  3. Knowledge and experience of grant accounting and grant management.
  4. Experience of implementing financial reporting and planning tools.
  5. Not for profit sector experience within a large and complex organisation.

Salary: £70k per annum + Benefits

Length: Permanent

Location: Central London

Working Pattern: Hybrid (2 days per week in the office)
