About the Role

The Housing and Homelessness Programme at Oak Foundation is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Programme Associate to support the programme's grant-making, monitoring, and evaluation efforts. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of housing and homelessness issues and be able to conduct research, analyze data, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities
  • Grant Management: Manage the grant-making project management system, monitor the grant-making budget, and oversee the regular analysis of the grant-making portfolio.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research on housing and homelessness issues, as well as potential new partners, and provide regular updates to the programme team.
  • Communications: Contribute to the design, implementation, and regular review of the programme's communications strategy, including developing content for newsletters, internal reports, presentations, and social media.
  • Grantee Partnerships: Coordinate and connect regularly with grantee partners to gather evidence, publications, and multimedia for communications, monitoring, learning, and evaluation purposes.
  • IT Support: Manage the programme's IT infrastructure, including SharePoint, Teams, grant-making database, and Outlook.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the programme director, including managing their diary, organizing events, and performing reception duties.
Requirements
  • Education: University degree preferred but not essential.
  • Experience: 3-5 years' demonstrable experience of working for a not-for-profit organization or development organization, ideally in a housing and homelessness policy and research.
  • Skills: Highly organized and able to juggle a wide range of responsibilities; experience of using social media for research and communications; demonstrable experience and confidence in all Microsoft applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Language: Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
