Wealth & Asset Management Tax Associate Director

Job Summary
Grant Thornton's Financial Services Tax team is seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our Wealth and Asset Management team in London. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing a significant portfolio of asset management clients and delivering tax compliance and advisory work.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of asset management clients, ensuring tax compliance and advisory work is delivered to a high standard.
- Work closely with the partner/director to develop and implement tax strategies for clients.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored tax advice.
- Lead and manage junior team members, providing coaching and training to ensure their development and growth.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and regulations, applying this knowledge to provide expert advice to clients.
- Contribute to the development of the firm's Reporting Fund automation tool, improving its functionality and usability.
Requirements
- Professional qualification (CTA / ACA / ACCA or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of UK corporation tax and funds legislation, including offshore funds legislation and reporting fund regulations.
- Excellent tax technical skills and a desire to learn more in new areas.
- Strong commitment to client service, looking to always add value.
- Clear and effective communication style to work with clients and internal teams.
- Self-motivated and strong team player.
- Experience of coaching and developing more junior team members.
- Strong business development skills with a desire to grow the business and the team.
- Familiarity with Alpha tax, CCH personal tax, Power BI, Microsoft Office, and other relevant software.
