We are seeking dedicated neurorehabilitation staff nurses to become integral members of our team at Brainkind, a facility specializing in the care of individuals with Acquired Brain Injuries and neurological conditions. About Brainkind

Brainkind is a premier assessment and neurorehabilitation center dedicated to supporting individuals with acquired brain injuries. Our facility accommodates 38 residents, each facing unique challenges stemming from incidents such as strokes, accidents, or other health issues. Our residents often present with complex needs, including behavioral challenges, mental health issues, and addictions. Our mission is to assist them in managing these alongside their neurological conditions. Our rehabilitation approach integrates psychiatry and psychology to help individuals navigate emotional, physical, and cognitive hurdles, aiming to empower them to lead fulfilling lives.

Team Collaboration

As a staff nurse, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team comprising psychiatrists, psychologists, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and fellow nursing professionals. You will also oversee a team of rehabilitation support nurses and work closely with the families of our residents, NHS commissioning teams, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Candidate Profile:

  • Essential experience as an RMN/RNLD/RMN, with additional training in the neurobehavioral model provided. A flexible mindset and eagerness to learn are crucial.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team effectively, empower staff, comply with employment law, and delegate responsibilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Capability to use initiative and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Positive approach to problem-solving and handling challenging situations.

Job Responsibilities

The Role: As a Staff Nurse, you will be part of a dynamic interdisciplinary team within our Neurobehavioural Rehabilitation Service, addressing the complex needs of individuals with acquired brain injuries across various settings, including inpatient and outpatient care. You will develop expertise in neuropsychology and rehabilitation while collaborating with support workers, psychologists, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychiatrists, and social workers to ensure a holistic approach to service delivery for our clients and their families.
