Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team at Michael Page (UK). As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical support for all software and hardware queries from users, ensuring prompt and efficient resolution of issues.
  • Install and distribute software and operating system updates, ensuring seamless integration with our existing systems.
  • Configure and set up new desktops and laptops, ensuring they meet our company's technical standards.
  • Manage user accounts and complete leaver administration in accordance with HR requirements, maintaining the highest level of data security.
  • Perform daily and periodical network and desktop housekeeping checks and maintenance, ensuring our systems remain secure and up-to-date.
  • Investigate and diagnose technical issues, referring them to external IT providers as necessary, to ensure timely resolution.
  • Assist in the creation of new system and process documentation, ensuring our technical knowledge is up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Collaborate with the IT Manager to maintain a high level of security with our IT systems, protecting against cyber threats and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide ad-hoc support and advice to clients, as directed, ensuring exceptional customer service.
  • Undertake specific projects aligned with our IT strategic objectives, driving innovation and improvement in our technical capabilities.
  • Ensure that our systems are fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), maintaining the highest standards of data protection.

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of specialized accounting and taxation software, as well as in-house IT systems and software.
  • Strong understanding of alternative software and systems, ensuring adaptability and flexibility in a rapidly changing technical landscape.
  • Knowledge of the Avaya IP phone system and multi-function devices, ensuring seamless integration with our existing infrastructure.
  • Understanding of Mimecast messaging and document management systems, ensuring efficient and secure communication.
  • Ability to stay up-to-date with emerging technology, ensuring our technical capabilities remain cutting-edge.
