We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Support Analyst to join our team at Michael Page (UK). As a key member of our IT department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support to our clients and internal teams.

Our client is a leading chartered accountants firm in Sidcup, South-East London, providing specialized advisory services to private and business clients. They are committed to delivering exceptional service and are looking for a talented IT professional to join their team.

Job Description

  • Provide internal helpdesk support for all software and hardware queries from users, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
  • Install and distribute software and operating system updates, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Set up and configure new desktops and laptops, ensuring they meet the required specifications and security standards.
  • Set up new users and complete leaver administration in accordance with HR requirements, ensuring a smooth onboarding process.
  • Carry out daily and periodical network and desktop housekeeping checks and maintenance, ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Investigate and diagnose technical issues, referring them as necessary to external IT providers, and implement solutions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Assist in the origination of new system and process documentation and ongoing upkeep of the same, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Assist the IT Manager in maintaining a high level of security with the IT systems and protection against cybercrime, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data.
  • Assist the IT Manager with the training of staff on IT software and technical matters, ensuring they are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
  • Provide ad hoc support and advice to clients, as directed, ensuring exceptional customer service.
  • Undertake specific projects in line with IT strategic objectives, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Assist with ensuring that systems are fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), ensuring the highest standards of data protection.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of specialized accounting/taxation and related software, ensuring expertise in industry-specific tools.
  • Expert knowledge of both in-house IT systems and software, as well as a good understanding of alternatives, ensuring flexibility and adaptability.
  • Knowledge of the Avaya IP phone system and multi-function devices, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Knowledge of Mimecast messaging and document management system, ensuring efficient communication and data management.
  • Actively keeping up to date with emerging technology, ensuring the team stays ahead of the curve.
