About the Role:

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Residential Support Worker to join our client's team in Ely, Cambridgeshire. As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people aged 8-18 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Encourage and support young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their own lives, depending on their age and individual needs.
  • Maintain a safe and welcoming environment in the residential home, promoting a sense of community and well-being among residents.
  • Develop and implement strategies to manage challenging behaviours, ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, social workers, and other professionals to provide comprehensive support to young people.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans, ensuring that the needs of each resident are met.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in supporting young people with EBD.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people, preferably in a residential or healthcare setting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with young people, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Valid UK manual driver's license, with a willingness to transport young people as required.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, with a passion for supporting young people with EBD.
