Job Summary:

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team in Ely, Cambridgeshire. As a Senior Children's Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) to develop socially, emotionally, and behaviourally in a safe and caring environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example and support the management team to run the shift, ensuring a homely and friendly culture and environment in the homes.
  • Mentor and support newer staff members, promoting a positive and inclusive team dynamic.
  • Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their own lives, depending on their age and individual needs.
  • Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare, maintaining a safe environment at all times.
  • Provide support for the children and young people in the home, promoting their independence and wellbeing.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, parents, Social Workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Children's Residential Support Worker or with Young People is essential.
  • Level 3 qualification for Children and Young People is essential.
  • Experience within another healthcare or social care setting is essential.
  • A full UK manual driver's licence is required, as you will be required to transport young people from time to time.
  • You must be over the age of 21 and able to commute to Ely, Cambridgeshire.
