Job Summary:
Vetro Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Residential Support Worker to join our client's team in Ely, Cambridgeshire. As a key member of the residential team, you will provide high-quality support to young people aged 11-18 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their own lives, promoting independence and well-being.
- Maintain a homely and friendly culture within the residential home, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for all residents.
- Deal with challenging behaviours in a safe and sympathetic manner, protecting the young people from risks to their health and welfare.
- Support the development of good working relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of residents, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of individual care plans, guidelines, and preferred methods of communication.
Requirements:
- Experience as a Children's Residential Support Worker or in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to commute to the area of Ely, Cambridgeshire.
- Valid UK manual driver's licence.
- Age 21 or above.
