About the Role:
Vetro Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Children's Residential Support Worker to join our client's team in Ely, Cambridgeshire. As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people aged 8-18 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in a residential setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Encourage and support young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their own lives, depending on their age and individual needs.
- Maintain a safe and homely environment, promoting a friendly culture and atmosphere within the residential home.
- Deal with challenging behaviours in a safe and sympathetic manner, protecting the young people from risks to their health and welfare.
- Provide support and promote independence and well-being for the young people, ensuring their safety and maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of their care plans, guidelines, and preferred methods of communication.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives.
Requirements:
- Experience as a Children's Residential Support Worker or with young people is desirable but not essential.
- Experience in a healthcare or social care setting is also desirable but not essential.
- A full UK manual driver's licence is required, as you will be required to transport young people from time to time.
- You must be over the age of 21 and able to commute to Ely, Cambridgeshire.

- A competitive salary of £28,558 - £32,986 (sleep allowance included)
- A 2 on 4 off shift pattern, with 8-10 sleeps per month
