Job Description

MAC Clinical Research is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our dedicated team in Blackpool. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing Human Resources support across all levels of the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide HR support to senior management stakeholders, building trusted relationships and ensuring effective communication.
  • Oversee and manage all employee relations issues, escalating to the Head of Global HR as necessary.
  • Support the Head of Global HR in policy writing, maintaining the UK employee handbook, and developing a HR function outside of the UK.
  • Collaborate with the Recruitment Manager to ensure a joined-up approach to recruiting activities.
  • Oversee absence management, including holidays and sickness reporting, and ensure timely submission of relevant information to the Finance department for payroll.
  • Deliver training to Line Managers on HR-related processes as required.
  • Build relationships and networks with external contacts, and mentor more junior members of the HR department.
  • Contribute to the creation of solutions to improve and standardize the HR service by identifying and recommending opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage Exit Surveys and arrange Exit interviews as requested.
  • Administrate and advise on the Vitality Private Medical Scheme.
  • Support with the management of Sage and respond to queries from the business.
Planning, Organizing, and Administration:
  • Report and update relevant issues to the Head of Global HR.
  • Assist the Medical Director with the administration of medical revalidation and pre-employment checks for new doctors.
  • Assist with medical appraisal audits.
  • Oversee the administration of HR-related documentation, including contracts of employment and letters to employees.
  • Ensure all contractual terms are accurate and up-to-date to minimize risks to the company.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years' HR experience.
  • Proven background as an HR professional working with senior management stakeholders.
  • Commercial acumen and a data-driven approach.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships at a senior level.
  • Experience with employee relations, policy review, business partnering, reward, culture, diversity, and inclusion.
