About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team at MAC Clinical Research. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing strategic HR support across all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Employee Relations: Oversee and manage all employee relations issues, escalating to the Head of Global HR as necessary.
  • HR Processes: Devise and maintain processes and procedures for all ER processes, to be implemented across the business.
  • Policy Development: Support the Head of Global HR with policy writing and maintaining the UK employee handbook.
  • Talent Acquisition: Support the Recruitment Manager with all recruiting activities and ensure a joined-up approach.
  • Staffing Management: Think creatively about how to maintain staffing levels across multiple research sites and supportive services.
  • Absence Management: Oversee absence management, including holidays and sickness reporting.
  • Payroll Administration: Oversee the collation and submission of relevant information to the Finance department for payroll on a monthly basis.
  • Training and Development: Deliver training to Line Managers on HR-related processes as required.
  • Relationship Building: Build relationships and networks with external contacts.
  • Confidentiality and Sensitivity: Maintain high levels of confidentiality and sensitivity in dealing with all issues, especially when handling sensitive situations and information.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the creation of solutions to improve and standardize the HR service by identifying and recommending opportunities for improvement.
  • Employee Satisfaction and Retention: Contribute to developing employee satisfaction and retention schemes.
  • Exit Surveys and Interviews: Manage Exit Surveys and arrange Exit interviews where requested, providing reports to the Leadership team on a bimonthly basis.
  • Mental Health Initiative: Manage the Mental Health Initiative Group within the organization.
  • Vitality Private Medical Scheme: Administer and advise on the Vitality Private Medical Scheme.
  • Leavers and Maternity/Paternity: Manage leavers and all maternity/paternity in the business.
  • Sage Administration: Support with management of Sage and any queries that come from the business about it.
Planning, Organising and Administration
  • Reporting and Updating: Report and update relevant issues to the Head of Global HR.
  • Medical Revalidation and Pre-Employment Checks: Assist the Medical Director with the administration of medical revalidation and pre-employment checks for new doctors.
  • Medical Appraisal Audits: Assist with medical appraisal audits.
  • HR-Related Documentation: Oversee the administration of HR-related documentation, such as contracts of employment and letters to employees as required.
  • Regulatory and Legislative Compliance: Oversee the management of all regulatory and legislative compliance checks for all new employees.
  • HR Processes and Policies: Provide guidance on all HR processes and policies.
  • Contractual Terms: Ensure all contractual terms are accurate and up to date to minimize risks to the Company.
