Role Summary

The Children's Assistance and Guidance Service (CAGS) serves as the primary access point for reporting concerns regarding children in need of assistance and safeguarding. It also provides a streamlined process for families seeking Early Help services.

CAGS is currently seeking a Child Welfare Support Advisor (CWSA) to enhance this dynamic service, which manages a high volume of inquiries daily. This position encompasses various responsibilities, including managing the telephone support service, processing information requests, and assisting the Social Work and Early Help operations within CAGS.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with callers and respond to inquiries effectively.
  • Process and manage information requests with precision.
  • Collaborate with Social Work and Early Help teams to provide comprehensive support.

Candidate Requirements

Candidates should possess experience in children's social care, family support, or Early Help services. Proficiency in handling sensitive information and maintaining accurate data records is essential. Excellent verbal, written, and customer service skills are a must. A solid understanding of relevant safeguarding and Early Help frameworks is crucial for protecting and supporting families.

Selection Process

Shortlisted candidates will be required to participate in a telephone scenario assessment. Successful candidates will then be invited for an interview.
