Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Debt and Welfare Benefits Specialist or a Financial Wellbeing Advisor to join our Money Advice Team. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality debt and welfare benefits advice to clients, helping them to manage their finances and achieve financial stability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide effective debt and welfare benefits advice to clients, taking into account their individual circumstances and needs.
  • Assess clients' financial situations and develop personalized plans to help them manage their debt and improve their financial wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to provide a holistic approach to advice, covering all areas of debt and welfare benefits.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation and policy affecting debt and welfare benefits, and ensure that advice is accurate and compliant.
  • Contribute to the development of training programs and resources to build and improve money management and financial capability.

Requirements

  • Experience in providing debt and welfare benefits advice, preferably in a charity or not-for-profit setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of debt and welfare benefits issues, with a willingness to undertake training and development.
