Position: Child and Family Support Specialist

Compensation: £18 per hour umbrella

Contract Duration: 3 months+

Overview:
The primary focus of the Early Help Locality teams is to ensure that children, young people, and families experience safety and a sense of security. This involves delivering timely and accessible support to foster resilience, independence, and confidence in their future.

Role Responsibilities:
Early Help services engage with children, young people, and families within a collaborative, multi-agency framework, aiming to identify and resolve issues before they escalate.

Utilizing professional expertise, you will collaborate with other practitioners and families, employing the early help assessment to pinpoint needs and, when necessary, take the lead in coordinating a multi-agency intervention plan.

As a key member of the early help locality multi-disciplinary team, you will respond promptly to the needs of children, young people, and their families, adhering to local policies and priorities.

Key Objectives:
1. Establish and maintain high standards of practice in delivering early help services that effectively respond to the needs of families.
2. Achieve positive outcomes for children and families through the coordination and execution of early help initiatives.

Qualifications:
- Educated to GCSE standard with an NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in delivering evidence-based interventions with children, young people, and families.
- Skilled in conducting assessments of children's needs to inform appropriate interventions.

Additional Skills:
Adept at recognizing issues that necessitate escalation in accordance with established guidelines, while working within policies that promote and safeguard the welfare of families.
