Mental Health Specialist Intervention Worker, Family Drug and Alcohol Court

Birmingham Children's Trust is seeking a skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our Family Drug and Alcohol Court (FDAC) team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with families, statutory bodies, and voluntary agencies to provide specialist support and interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess parents and deliver one-to-one and group interventions to support their recovery and wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively with the FDAC team to develop and implement effective support plans.
  • Provide specialist advice and guidance to colleagues and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of training and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Experience of working in clinical/therapeutic settings, preferably with vulnerable children and families.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including communication, sound judgement, analytical thinking, and teamwork.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong understanding of the principles and practices of FDAC and the importance of a problem-solving approach.
