Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Money Advice Caseworker. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in providing expert advice and support to our clients, helping them navigate complex welfare benefits and debt issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality money advice services to clients, ensuring that their needs are met and they receive the best possible support.
  • Provide advocacy and court representation at tribunals and other statutory bodies, advocating on behalf of our clients to ensure their rights are protected.
  • Take client instructions and provide guidance on financial matters, including drafting letters and emails to third parties and negotiating with creditors.
  • Maximize income for our clients by ensuring they receive all eligible welfare benefits.
  • Support the delivery of outreach services as part of our team, working with other professionals to provide support to clients in their communities.
  • Work to targets to ensure that we meet our contractual obligations and provide the best possible service to our clients.
  • Manage caseloads effectively, opening and closing cases as required and conducting regular reviews to ensure that our services are meeting the needs of our clients.
  • Maintain accurate records using our digital case management system, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times, handling sensitive information in accordance with our organization's policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience of welfare benefits, debt advice, and poverty relief.
  • IMA (Institute of Money Advisers') qualification or recent GGDA (Giving Good Debt Advice) training.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with vulnerable clients and provide clear, concise advice.
  • Strong advocacy skills, with the ability to represent clients in court and at tribunals.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, supporting the delivery of outreach services and working with other professionals to provide support to clients.
