Community Centre Key Holder Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Community Centre Key Holder. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our community spaces and providing access to our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Access Management: Open and close community centres for hirers and their guests, ensuring secure access and compliance with health and safety procedures.
  • Customer Support: Provide excellent customer service to hirers and their guests, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise during events.
  • Reporting and Maintenance: Promptly report any repairs or maintenance issues to the relevant authorities, ensuring that our facilities are well-maintained and safe for use.
  • Event Preparation: Prepare premises for hirers or event organisers, including setting up equipment and clearing post-event.
  • Light Cleaning and Waste Management: Undertake light cleaning tasks, rubbish disposal, and provide access to contractors as needed.
  • Cash Handling: Handle cash for security deposits when required, maintaining accurate records and adhering to financial procedures.
  • Health and Safety: Demonstrate health, safety, and fire procedures to hirers, ensuring that they are aware of and comply with our safety protocols.
Requirements:
  • Flexibility: A flexible approach to work, with the ability to work as and when required.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to maintain high performance standards.
  • Independence: The capacity to work independently without close supervision.
  • Residency: Applicants must be residents living in Lambeth.
  • DBS Check: A standard DBS check will be completed upon employment offer.
