About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and digitally-savvy Marketing and Communications Assistant to join our team at the London Chinese Community Centre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for promoting the Centre's activities and services through various communication channels, including social media, email, and print materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Marketing and Communications: Assist the Centre Director in developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote the Centre's activities and services, including social media, email marketing, and print materials.
- Website Management: Manage and maintain the Centre's website, ensuring it is up-to-date and accurately reflects the Centre's activities and services.
- Event Promotion: Assist in promoting the Centre's events and activities through various communication channels, including social media, email, and print materials.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the Centre Director and other team members, including data entry, filing, and other tasks as required.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to Centre members and visitors, responding to queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Degree qualification or equivalent preferred, relative experience considered.
- Language Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin).
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with Centre members and stakeholders.
- Marketing Experience: Proven experience in engaging social media influencers and capable of building online relationships.
- Business Acumen: Good understanding of the opportunities and challenges in the charity sector.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work Saturdays and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
