About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and resourceful Learning and Engagement Coordinator to join our Culture team on a full-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will work across a variety of responsibilities, including contributing to the mission, aims, and objectives of the Culture team's work, providing effective day-to-day support to the team in the planning, delivery, and smooth running of projects, training, and events, and being part of a positive, energetic, and mutually supportive team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of cultural programmes and events that engage diverse audiences.
  • Provide administrative support to the Culture team, including coordinating logistics, managing budgets, and maintaining records.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of cultural initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including artists, curators, and community groups.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and assessment of cultural programmes and events to inform future development.
What We Offer

As a Learning and Engagement Coordinator at the Southbank Centre, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and creative environment, contributing to the development of cultural programmes and events that engage diverse audiences. You will also have access to a range of benefits, including a minimum 5% employer's pension contribution, 28 days annual leave, and a hybrid working model.

About Us

The Southbank Centre is Europe's largest arts centre and one of the UK's top five visitor attractions. We are a charity that is determined to demonstrate our ambition to remain innovative, disruptive, and experimental in what we do, and to be highly relevant to the artists we work with and the audiences we want to attract. We believe that a commitment to diversity and inclusion helps us be a more relevant and effective organisation.

Our Artistic Mission

We exist to provide great artistic experiences for everyone. Through art, we invite our visitors to enjoy shared cultural encounters together. To gaze. To listen. To be moved. To discover a new idea or a new perspective. We are proud that for the last 70 years, the performances and exhibitions here have moved millions. We have provided a home for art and for artists. A community centred on art, where everyone, no matter their job, helps make the experience.

Our Values

We believe in creating welcoming spaces, making wonderful experiences together, and sparking new thinking. We uphold respect, safety, and belonging, and we take responsibility for shaping and protecting a kind, compassionate, and inclusive environment for others. We value the different parts we play in creating enjoyment and success, and we are open to evaluating how we think and work. We are committed to diversity and inclusion, and we believe that this helps us be a more relevant and effective organisation.
