Staff Liaison Consultant
Remote - to be based around Medway
40 hours per week - no set working times

This is a distinctive opportunity to operate independently from our client, providing confidential support for all staff members. Our previous hires have come from diverse backgrounds, including educators, human resources professionals, business leaders, and law enforcement.
This unique position allows you to work alongside an NHS client (not employed by the NHS) in an impartial capacity, serving as a confidential liaison. You will assist employees in reaching self-determined resolutions to their concerns, whether by phone or in person. It is essential to escalate issues of concern promptly, adhering to agreed timelines, while fostering an environment that encourages open communication and support for staff who may feel hesitant to raise issues internally.
Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to initial inquiries via telephone or email, employing an empathetic and non-judgmental approach.
  • Schedule conversations with contacting employees at mutually convenient times and locations, utilizing various communication methods to facilitate swift resolutions.
  • Address issues related to patient safety and care in accordance with established timelines for an NHS Trust client.
  • Maintain contact with employees throughout the escalation process to ensure satisfactory resolutions are achieved.
  • Facilitate meetings between contacting employees and colleagues, formally escalating concerns with the employee's consent.
  • Regularly present the service to staff groups, ensuring visibility with the NHS Trust as agreed.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to the evaluation of service effectiveness, ensuring timely and precise reporting.
  • Handle information and data responsibly, ensuring compliance with GDPR regulations regarding personal and confidential data.
  • Adhere to service policies and procedures.
  • Engage in individual supervision, training, and team meetings; participate in all staff meetings and organizational events as required.
  • Stay informed about developments in employment law, NHS policies, and guidelines.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and develop specific knowledge that adds value to the role.
