Altus Partners is collaborating exclusively with a dynamic, rapidly expanding healthcare organization supported by private equity, based in Central London. With the backing of a prominent large-cap Private Equity firm, our client is poised to execute an ambitious buy-and-build strategy aimed at enhancing their global presence. They are in search of a Vice President of Corporate Development & M&A, who will play a pivotal role within an already exceptional senior leadership team, contributing to the formulation of the long-term strategic vision for the organization. This position is hands-on and demands comprehensive execution of M&A transactions, ideal for candidates with substantial deal-making experience.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Formulate and execute the group's M&A strategy
  • Establish a high-performing Corporate Development/M&A team
  • Evaluate, analyze, and assess potential acquisition targets, including the development and review of financial models and acquisition justifications
  • Ensure thorough and effective pre-acquisition integration (and separation) planning
  • Lead the overall M&A deal pipeline, including outreach and sourcing of new opportunities, joint ventures, etc.
  • Build and maintain critical relationships with current and prospective investors
  • Collaborate closely with the Chief Business Officer on significant commercial initiatives and private equity activities

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical sectors preferred
  • Experience with private equity is desirable
  • Background in a leading investment bank or top-tier consultancy is preferred
  • Adaptable in a continuously evolving and growing environment
  • Strong negotiation and influencing capabilities
