The Urban Land Institute (ULI) is on the lookout for a Vice President of Business Development to spearhead our Corporate Partnerships division. In this pivotal role, you will be tasked with crafting and implementing a comprehensive business development strategy aimed at nurturing corporate alliances that resonate with our organizational goals. Your expertise in leadership will be vital in guiding a dynamic team and ensuring cohesive collaboration throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute a business development strategy that aligns with ULI's overarching objectives
  • Partner with National Councils to oversee and enhance business development initiatives
  • Design and track proposals to monitor progress and meet financial targets
  • Lead fundraising initiatives and devise partnership approaches
  • Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of business development specialists
  • Work closely with senior management to guarantee alignment across critical areas

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree is essential
  • 8-10 years of experience in account management or business development
  • Demonstrated success in securing funding from corporate entities and foundations
  • Exceptional analytical and organizational capabilities
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in engaging with high-level executives
