About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at New Forest Care Ltd. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for children who display challenging behaviour and present with emotional and behavioural difficulties, ADHD, and autism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a positive adult role model for the children, promoting their social, emotional, and physical well-being.
  • Provide individualised support and guidance to help children develop self-esteem, a sense of safety, and personal strategies to manage challenging behaviours.
  • Contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the residential home, including cooking, cleaning, and finances.
  • Engage with children, helping to develop their interests and organising relevant activities to support their development.
  • Ensure the needs of the children are met, reviewing and recording changes to their needs.
Requirements
  • Fully supported to complete a funded Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare, building your professional development and meeting Ofsted requirements.
  • Experience of supporting vulnerable children in a residential care environment is advantageous, although not essential, as we will provide relevant training and development.
  • Compassionate, resilient, and committed to being a positive role model, with confidence in managing challenging behaviours.
  • Flexible and able to work a residential care rota, including evenings, weekends, and holiday periods.
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence.
