About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at New Forest Care Ltd. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a Positive Role Model: Provide a positive influence and guidance to the children in our care, promoting their social, emotional, and physical well-being.
  • Support Daily Living Activities: Assist with daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and finances, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the residential home.
  • Engage with Children: Develop and maintain relationships with the children, helping to identify and support their interests and needs.
  • Record and Review Progress: Accurately record and review changes to the children's needs, ensuring their individual requirements are met.
Requirements
  • Compassion and Resilience: Demonstrate a strong ability to empathize with vulnerable children and remain calm in challenging situations.
  • Previous Experience: Although not essential, experience working with children in a residential care environment would be beneficial.
  • Training and Development: We offer comprehensive training and development opportunities, including a funded Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare.
  • Flexibility: Be willing to work a residential care rota, including evening, weekends, and holiday periods.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence: Hold a valid UK driving licence.
