About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at New Forest Care Ltd. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for children who display challenging behavior and present with emotional and behavioral difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a positive adult role model for the children, promoting their social, emotional, and physical well-being.
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment, advising and guiding children to develop self-esteem and personal strategies to manage challenging behaviors.
  • Contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the residential home, including cooking, cleaning, and finances.
  • Engage with children, helping to develop their interests and organizing relevant activities.
  • Ensure the needs of the children are met, reviewing and recording changes to those needs.
Requirements
  • Fully supported to complete a funded Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare, meeting Ofsted requirements.
  • Experience supporting vulnerable children in a residential care environment is advantageous, although not essential.
  • Compassionate, resilient, and committed to being a positive role model, with confidence in managing challenging behaviors.
  • Flexible and able to work a residential care rota, including evening, weekends, and holiday periods.
  • Hold a valid UK driving license.
