Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and resilient Residential Childcare Support Professional to join our dedicated ARC (Activity Residential Care) service. The successful candidate will provide excellent unconditional care for vulnerable children, supporting their physical, emotional, and everyday needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children, ensuring their well-being and promoting a positive safeguarding culture.
  • Support children in developing self-esteem, a feeling of safety, and personal strategies to deal with unhelpful behaviour and thoughts.
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain a clean, tidy, and healthy environment, ensuring children access a balanced diet and routine.
  • Contribute to daily records and reports, advocating for the assessed needs of residents and promoting their well-being.
  • Engage in a wide range of activities, promoting creativity, openness, and a strong teamwork ethic.

Requirements:

  • Compassionate, resilient, and committed to being a positive role model.
  • Able to do overnight sleep-ins, which are part of the role.
  • Confident in managing challenging behaviours.
  • Flexible, working a residential care rota that includes evening, weekends, and holiday periods.
