About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Polaris Community. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young adults with emotional behavioural difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized care and support to our young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with our young people, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our young people.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in residential childcare and support.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive living environment, adhering to our policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children and young people, particularly those with emotional behavioural difficulties.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including sleep-ins, and be available for occasional overtime.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Hold a relevant qualification in residential childcare or a related field, or be willing to work towards one.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle, as travel may be required.
