Job Title: Residential Childcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Polaris Community. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young adults with emotional behavioural difficulties.

About the Role:

  • Provide individualized care and support to children and young adults in a residential setting
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, promoting their emotional and social well-being
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a safe and supportive environment
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge
  • Contribute to the development of individual care plans and support young people in achieving their goals

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children and young people, particularly those with emotional behavioural difficulties
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take direction
  • Hold a relevant qualification in childcare or a related field (or be willing to work towards one)
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car
