Main Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality support to children and young adults with emotional behavioural difficulties and social/emotional mental health needs.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with our young people, promoting their welfare and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a small team, accepting direction and guidance to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.
  • Encourage the development of individual interests and skills, supporting our young people towards independence and adulthood.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children and young people, understanding the issues they face in care.
  • Flexibility in your availability, covering sicknesses, annual leave, and a range of hours/shifts.
  • Promoting, safeguarding, and protecting the welfare of our young people.
  • Hold a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma or equivalent, or be willing to work towards a required qualification.
  • Full UK driving licence and car, as this role involves travelling.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills, with a willingness to learn and develop.
