About the Role

The Global Returns Project is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Partnerships and Impact Manager to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with institutional partners and individual donors, as well as researching and assessing climate charities for potential partnership opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partnership Building
    • Support the development and implementation of our partnership-building strategy, focusing on expanding relationships with UK financial intermediaries and other institutional partners.
    • Lead conversion through meetings and presentations with high-value leads.
    • Coordinate and communicate with leads to advance partnership opportunities.
  • Charity Research and Impact Reporting
    • Manage ongoing relationships with our current recommended charities.
    • Conduct six-monthly data-driven assessments and scoring of our recommended charities using our proprietary methodology.
    • Produce detailed impact reports on our recommended charities every six months.
    • Present quarterly updates to our Due Diligence Committee on our recommended charities and impact reports.
    • Maintain and update our charity selection and assessment methodology.
    • Research climate charities for potential addition to our portfolio of recommended organizations.
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
    • Manage company databases, including tracking and managing donor information and regular reporting to the Board of Trustees.
    • Use data to facilitate ongoing monitoring and evaluation of our team's progress in fundraising, sales, and marketing, and address points of inefficiency to optimize conversions.
    • Support website development and maintenance, including updating copy and visuals, and liaising with our web developer.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team-player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Time-management and self-organization skills.
  • Ability to take initiative, identify problems, and solve them creatively.
  • Very high attention to detail.
  • Excellent understanding of and passion to address climate change and biodiversity loss.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Academic experience in geography, Earth Sciences, sustainability, or related fields.
  • Understanding of the financial services industry.
  • Customer Relations Management (CRM) experience (Salesforce, etc).
