About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team in Dunstable, working 42 hours per week on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern covering both days and nights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Access Control and Surveillance: Prevent and deter unauthorized access to the site, ensuring a secure environment through effective monitoring and response to security alarms and CCTV.
  • Alarm Response and Investigation: Promptly respond to and investigate security incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Security Patrols and Inspections: Conduct regular external and internal security patrols to maintain safety and security across the premises, identifying and mitigating potential security risks.
  • Reception and Customer Service: Provide professional reception duties, welcoming and assisting visitors and staff, ensuring a positive and secure experience.
  • Key Management and Administration: Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties efficiently, maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain all logbooks and records meticulously, ensuring accurate documentation and timely reporting of security incidents and issues.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a security role, demonstrating reliability and expertise.
  • Vigilance and Attention to Detail: Keen observation skills to monitor and respond to security alarms and CCTV, with a strong attention to detail for accurate record keeping and reporting.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Strong communication skills for reception duties and incident reporting, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Proactive and Problem-Solving: Prevent unauthorized access and manage keys with diligence, identifying and mitigating potential security risks.

Essential Skills:

  • SIA licence
  • Drivers licence
  • 1 year experience within the security industry
  • Right to work in the UK and have a five-year checkable history
  • Access to vehicle/good transport links
