About The Role

Forest Green Rovers F.C is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the position of Head of Academy Coaching. As a key member of our coaching team, you will play a vital role in the development of our coaches and players within the Forest Green Rovers Academy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Development: Design and deliver the Academy's Coaching Curriculum, ensuring it aligns with our Playing Philosophy and Coaching Philosophy.
  • Coach Development: Develop and implement a continued professional development programme for our coaches, utilizing internal and external experts.
  • Training Needs Analysis: Conduct regular Training Needs Analysis to identify areas for improvement and provide targeted support.
  • Individual Development Plans: Collaborate with coaches to create and monitor individual development plans, ensuring they meet the needs of the Academy.
  • Performance Feedback: Observe and provide constructive feedback to coaches during training and match days.
  • Coach Competency Framework: Develop and maintain the Coach Competency Framework for the Academy.
  • Safeguarding: Work with our Designated Safeguarding Officer to ensure all safeguarding policies and procedures are implemented.
  • Lead Phase Coaches: Oversee Lead Phase Coaches to ensure consistency in coaching messages and programmes.
About You

We are looking for an individual with a strong background in coaching and education, who is passionate about developing coaches and players. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • UEFA A Licence
  • FA Advanced Youth Award
  • FA Safeguarding Children Certificate
  • EFAiF
  • Enhanced DBS clearance
  • Understanding of the Academy Audit process
  • Experience of working in an Academy
