About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as Head of Academy Performance. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the long-term development of coaches and players within our Academy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the Academy's Coaching Curriculum, ensuring alignment with our Playing Philosophy and Coaching Philosophy.
  • Design and deliver the Club's continued professional development programme, leveraging internal and external expertise.
  • Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) for coaches, identifying current and required levels of performance.
  • Observe coach performance during training and match days, providing constructive feedback to aid development.
  • Ensure all coaches meet Youth Development rules, including qualification requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Designated Safeguarding Officer to implement policies, practices, and procedures for safeguarding young people.
  • Oversee Lead Phase Coaches, ensuring consistency in messaging and coaching programmes.
About You

We are looking for a team player who is passionate about coach and player development. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Academy Audit process and experience working in an Academy environment.

Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • UEFA A Licence
  • FA Advanced Youth Award
  • FA Safeguarding Children Certificate
  • EFAiF
  • Enhanced DBS clearance
  • Understanding of the Academy Audit process
  • Experience of working in an Academy
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Coach Education Qualification
  • D1 Minibus Driving License
  • Previous Academy coaching experience
  • Competency in using various platforms, including FIP, Teamworks, Hudl, and LFE/EMS
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP)
