Forest Green Rovers Football Club is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the position of Head of Academy Coaching and Development. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the long-term development of coaches and players within our Academy.
Key Responsibilities- Curriculum Development: Design and deliver the Academy's Coaching Curriculum, ensuring it aligns with our Playing Philosophy and Coaching Philosophy.
- Coach Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive coach development program, utilizing internal and external professionals to enhance coaching skills.
- Training Needs Analysis: Conduct regular Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to identify coaches' current and required levels of performance.
- Individual Development Plans: Collaborate with coaches to create and monitor individual development plans, ensuring they meet the Academy's standards.
- Performance Feedback: Observe coach performance during training and match days, providing constructive feedback to aid development.
- Coach Competency Framework: Continuously develop and refine the Coach Competency Framework for the Academy.
- Safeguarding: Work with the Designated Safeguarding Officer to ensure all policies, practices, and procedures related to safeguarding young people are implemented.
- Lead Phase Coaches: Oversee Lead Phase Coaches to ensure consistency in coaching messages and programs.
- Qualifications: UEFA A Licence, FA Advanced Youth Award, FA Safeguarding Children Certificate, EFAiF, and Enhanced DBS clearance.
- Experience: Proven experience working in an Academy environment, with a strong understanding of the Academy Audit process.
- Person Specification: A team player with a passion for coach and player development, values holistic development, drives high standards, and possesses exceptional organization and communication skills.
