About The Role
Forest Green Rovers Football Club is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the position of Head of Academy Coaching and Development. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the long-term development of coaches and players within the Forest Green Rovers Academy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Development: Design and deliver the Academy's Coaching Curriculum, ensuring it aligns with the Club's Playing Philosophy and Coaching Philosophy.
- Coach Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive coach development program, utilizing internal and external resources.
- Training Needs Analysis: Conduct regular Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to identify coaches' current and required levels of performance.
- Individual Development Plans: Collaborate with coaches to create and monitor individual development plans, ensuring each coach meets their performance goals.
- Performance Feedback: Observe coach performance during training and match days, providing constructive feedback to aid development.
- Coach Competency Framework: Continuously develop and refine the Coach Competency Framework for the Academy.
- Safeguarding: Work with the Designated Safeguarding Officer to ensure all policies, practices, and procedures related to safeguarding young people are implemented and adhered to.
- Lead Phase Coaches: Oversee Lead Phase Coaches, ensuring consistency in messaging and coaching programs across the team.

- UEFA A Licence
- FA Advanced Youth Award
- FA Safeguarding Children Certificate
- Enhanced DBS clearance
- Experience in an Academy setting
- Understanding of the Academy Audit process
