Head of Academy Coaching and Development

Forest Green Rovers F.C is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the position of Head of Academy Coaching and Development. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the long-term development of coaches and players within the Forest Green Rovers Academy.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement the Academy's Coaching Curriculum, ensuring consistency with the Playing Philosophy and Coaching Philosophy.
- Design and deliver the Club's continued professional development program, utilizing internal and external professionals.
- Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) for each coach, identifying current and required levels of performance.
- Collaborate with coaches to plan, deliver, and monitor individual development plans.
- Observe coach performance during training and match days, providing constructive feedback for development.
- Evolve the Coach Competency Framework for the Academy.
- Ensure all coaches meet Youth Development rules requirements.
- Work with the Designated Safeguarding Officer to implement policies, practices, and procedures for safeguarding young people.
- Oversee Lead Phase Coaches to ensure consistent messaging and coaching programs.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- UEFA A Licence
- FA Advanced Youth Award
- FA Safeguarding Children Certificate
- EFAiF
- Enhanced DBS clearance
- Understanding of the Academy Audit process
- Experience working in an Academy

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
- Coach Education Qualification
- D1 Minibus Driving License
- Previous Academy coaching experience
- Competent using various platforms including FIP, Teamworks, Hudl, and LFE/EMS
- Comprehensive understanding of the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP)
