About This Opportunity
The Cardiovascular Care Service at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Support Worker to join our dynamic Cardiac Rehabilitation team.
We are a multidisciplinary team comprised of Physiotherapists, Exercise Instructors, Registered Nurses, and Healthcare Assistants. Together, we provide comprehensive Phase 1-4 Cardiac Rehabilitation services to patients recovering from cardiac events, treatments, surgeries, and heart failure management.
Your Role
As a Clinical Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of all aspects of Cardiac Rehabilitation. You will work closely with our team to provide high-quality specialist care to patients and their families.
This position requires experience in a healthcare setting, and prior cardiology/cardiothoracic experience is highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the Cardiac Rehabilitation team in providing comprehensive patient care.
- Supporting patients through various stages of rehabilitation, including exercise programs and education sessions.
- Contributing to a positive and supportive environment for patients and their families.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience working in health or social care.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake and record clinical observations, escalating any changes or findings promptly.
- Numeracy and Literacy Level 2 qualification.
- Care Certificate.
- Level 3 vocational qualification or equivalent knowledge and experience in a range of patient and clinical care duties.
