About the Role:
The successful candidates will work in the Orthoptic Department at The James Cook University Hospital and our satellite clinic at Low Grange Health Village, Middlesbrough. As an Orthoptic Assistant / Clinical Support Worker, you will be an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team, delivering efficient healthcare services.
Main Responsibilities:
- Participate in the delivery of patient care, working closely with qualified Orthoptists
- Conduct clinical procedures and observations as directed by senior staff
- Assist with patient coordination and clinic management, ensuring seamless service delivery
Requirements:
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
- Numeracy and Literacy Level 2
- Care certificate
- Level 3 vocational qualification or equivalent experience
Desirable Qualifications and Skills:
- Foundation improvement training
- Equipment training
Personal Attributes:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic IT skills
- Analytical and judgement skills
- Time management and organisational skills
- Commitment to professional development
Experience:
- Previous health or social care experience
- Clinical observation experience
