Role Overview

We are expanding our first line of information technology and security risk team and are seeking an individual who is enthusiastic about enhancing operational resilience and managing risk effectively. You will play a crucial role in executing daily activities that ensure the organization is prepared for any operational disruptions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the management of the bank's technical resilience and continuity strategies.
  • Develop, maintain, and update the bank's continuity and recovery documentation.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to ensure the completion of resilience and recovery activities.
  • Ensure regulatory obligations are understood and communicated promptly.
  • Conduct business impact and risk assessments with stakeholders.
  • Generate accurate reports on the bank's resilience and recovery strategies.
  • Oversee the testing strategy, ensuring tests are conducted and lessons learned are implemented.
  • Engage with third-party risk management teams to ensure vendor resilience and continuity.
  • Contribute to the development of operational resilience and disaster recovery systems.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

Candidate Requirements

  • A solid understanding of operational resilience, business continuity, and disaster recovery standards.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess complex business processes and identify improvement opportunities.
  • A collaborative mindset to develop effective response plans in a technology-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of the operational regulatory landscape.
  • A commitment to acting in the best interest of customers and colleagues.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience in financial services or business continuity management.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO and NIST.
  • Knowledge of information technology systems, including cloud technologies.
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and provide insightful reporting.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical presentation skills.
  • Flexibility in achieving team goals.

Interview Process

Our interview process is designed to be conversational, allowing both parties to learn about each other. You can expect an initial discussion with team members, followed by interviews with the line manager and the Chief Information Security Officer.
