Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Technology Risk & Controls Manager to enhance our operations.

Your role will be pivotal in shaping and implementing our risk framework, ensuring that our technology risk landscape is thoroughly understood. You will also coordinate assurance activities with both internal and external audit teams, operational risk, and controls assurance functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary technology controls officer, ensuring adherence to IT controls through comprehensive testing and design assurance evaluations.
  • Engage constructively with control owners to fortify the existing self-attestation process.
  • Proactively identify, document, and evaluate technology risks and issues that may affect the business, providing regular updates to the technology risk committee on significant risks and emerging concerns.
  • Establish and report on Key Risk Indicators (KRI) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to facilitate ongoing risk monitoring.
  • Lead engagements for external control assurance reviews as part of annual commitments, including AAF, SOC, CASS, and Statutory External Audit.
  • Oversee the management of access provisioning, de-provisioning, and modification requests handled by the Identity & Access Management Operations team.
  • Conduct the Risk & Controls Self-Assessment (RCSA) process through detailed inherent and residual risk evaluations.
  • Support the execution of internal audits, operational risk reviews, and compliance assessments of the technology management framework.
Candidate Profile

We are looking for individuals who:

  • Possess expertise in delivering, managing, and assuring Information Security assurance activities.
  • Have a solid understanding of IT controls and risks, enabling them to assess control effectiveness and identify potential gaps.
  • Can effectively manage complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Hold relevant Information Security and/or Information Technology certifications (CISA, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent) which would be advantageous.
  • May currently be in a consulting role and seeking an opportunity to transition to an in-house position.
