In this position, you will be tasked with delivering procurement services to Project Teams across various assignments as designated by the Regional Procurement Manager. Your role will involve sourcing sub-trades and materials in line with a predetermined schedule and budgetary constraints. Additionally, you will assist the Regional Procurement Manager in securing optimal purchasing solutions while ensuring risk-averse and solid procurement packages.

With strong negotiation capabilities, candidates should possess a proven track record in a comparable position, alongside a solid understanding of contract conditions and relevant legislation within the construction sector.

Being commercially astute, you will have intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with a preference for experience in COINS software. A good grasp of Health & Safety regulations and market dynamics is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate tender submissions, negotiate optimal pricing, and issue purchase orders through the company’s procurement system as per the Procurement Delivery Plan.
  • Develop a comprehensive material Procurement Delivery Plan for each project.
  • Oversee the Materials budget and compile a monthly Buying Report to track cost discrepancies, unplanned orders, site losses, damages, materials on-site, and project completion forecasts for Surveyors to include in the monthly Valuation.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Operational knowledge of COINS software.
  • Prior experience as an Assistant Buyer in the Construction or Housebuilding sectors.
