Strategic Partnership Executive

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to lead our commercial growth initiatives and drive strategic partnerships within the newly formed Magnets Business Unit. This role will be instrumental in developing and delivering our business development and commercial strategy, working closely with our Business Development Manager and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities- Market Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders and negotiating contracts and agreements.
- Business Strategy and Planning: Develop and present high-quality business propositions and plans, including revenue models, return on investment, costs, and project long-term earnings.
- Customer Management: Own customer accounts throughout their lifecycle, working with our delivery team to ensure high-quality delivery and providing the voice of the customer.
- Partnership Development: Build and maintain relationships with key partners, identifying new business opportunities and driving strategic partnerships.
- Commercial Operations: Ensure all internal approvals and supporting papers are prepared, enabling progression of prospective and live commercial opportunities.
- Technical and Commercial Knowledge: Strong understanding of technical and commercial aspects, with experience in making optimal decisions regarding IP generation, protection, ownership, and associated contractual agreements.
- Communication and Stakeholder Management: Highly organized, with the ability to work autonomously and manage multiple internal senior and external stakeholders.
- Education and Qualifications: Educated to degree level or equivalent, with a combination of experience in Commerce and Engineering or Science.
- Specialist Knowledge: Specialist knowledge in fusion, physical sciences, analytical research, space, transportation, motors, or generators would be an advantage.
