Position Summary: We are seeking a full-time, permanent Safety and Compliance Supervisor with a competitive salary of £55K.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise senior management and team members on all aspects of safety, health, welfare, and environmental regulations to ensure compliance with legal obligations within the manufacturing sector.
  • Oversee adherence to relevant management systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and EN 14064, applicable in both manufacturing and construction environments.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive health, safety, and environmental policies that align with regulatory standards and industry best practices.

Leadership and Engagement:

  • Exhibit proactive leadership in all quality, health, safety, and environmental initiatives, setting a positive example for the team.
  • Assist in the creation of risk assessments and method statements, providing training and support to personnel.
  • Evaluate quality, health, safety, and environmental performance, utilizing results to establish benchmarks and identify key performance indicators.
  • Promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness, ensuring employee engagement with organizational safety beliefs.

Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum qualification.
  • Experience in heavy manufacturing and MIG/MAG welding processes.
  • Proven track record in leading safety, health, and environmental quality initiatives within heavy engineering and manufacturing settings.
  • Strong knowledge of quality, health, and safety regulations, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a keen attention to detail.
