GMP Recruitment Ltd is seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance and Technical Compliance Manager to join a prominent and rapidly growing organization specializing in Structural Fabrication and Welding.

This esteemed engineering firm operates across various sectors, including infrastructure, oil, and mining, and is recognized for its commitment to excellence.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional expertise in QUALITY STANDARDS, including ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 14064, EN 1090-2, and ISO 45001, along with proficiency in AUDITING and Integrated Management Systems (IMS).

This role is particularly suited for individuals with a background in oil and gas, marine operations, military vessels, or automotive components.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in an office environment, with occasional travel requirements, offering a competitive salary of £55K. A higher salary may be negotiated for the right candidate.

As the Quality Assurance and Technical Compliance Manager, you will provide guidance to Directors, Managers, and team members on compliance with statutory obligations within the manufacturing sector.

Your responsibilities will include ensuring the company's adherence to relevant management systems, such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, EN 14064, applicable in both manufacturing and construction environments.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies that align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Exhibit active leadership in all quality, health, safety, and environmental matters, setting a positive example.
  • Assist in creating risk assessments and method statements, including training for personnel.
  • Evaluate quality, health, safety, and environmental performance, using results to establish benchmarks and identify Key Performance Indicators for continuous improvement.
  • Promote a culture of quality, safety, and environmental awareness by engaging workers with the organization's core beliefs.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum qualification of NEBOSH General Certificate.
  • IEMA Environmental Management qualification.
  • Experience in heavy manufacturing and MIG/MAG welding.
  • Proven track record in leading and enhancing SHEQ standards within heavy engineering and manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting audits and managing documentation to improve SHEQ standards.
  • Strong knowledge of quality, health, and safety practices, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, along with analytical and problem-solving skills, and a keen attention to detail.
