Concept Resourcing is excited to collaborate with a prominent Director of Procurement in the healthcare sector to facilitate the recruitment of two Lead Procurement Specialists.

Joining a dynamic procurement team, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to the healthcare industry.


Position Overview:

As a Lead Procurement Specialist, you will be instrumental in enhancing the procurement service to deliver cost-effective solutions and achieve substantial savings for the organization.

Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement, your responsibilities will include the formulation and execution of category strategies, spearheading procurement initiatives, and ensuring adherence to procurement protocols.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to pinpoint areas for enhancement and transformation in procurement methodologies.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with stakeholders to maximize procurement efficiency.
  • Oversee category management efforts and devise comprehensive category strategies.
  • Direct, assess, and report on product trials.
  • Monitor compliance with contracts and enhance supplier performance to support cost-saving initiatives.
  • Stay updated on governmental directives and healthcare procurement strategies.
  • Represent the organization at national and regional events and initiatives.

Required Qualifications:
Skills and Expertise:
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain management and contract procedures.
  • Exceptional negotiation abilities and a knack for creatively resolving complex contracting challenges.
  • Strong command of MS Excel and IT procurement systems.
  • Effective communication skills across diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and foster staff development.
  • Possession of or progress towards MCIPS (minimum level 4).
  • Experience in management roles.

Experience:
  • Demonstrated experience in procurement/category management within a large organization.
  • Proven track record in leading high-value procurements from inception to execution.
  • Familiarity with public sector procurement processes and regulations is advantageous.
